CORE Products

The quality of our CORE Exchangers is fundamental to us. That means every Exchanger is tested for leakage to guarantee the optimal recovery rates for every single Exchanger. We focus on both manual production as well as automated production, which means we are able to produce both high quantities as well as individual customer orders, all while meeting our demands in terms of quality.

COUNTERFLOW

Our Heat Exchangers (C-HRV) transfer energy in the form of heat. Therefor extract air and intake air are passed through the channels in contrary directions. Warm extract air flows through thin channels to the outside. Whilst passing these thin channels, the cold intake air will be warmed via the warm extract air passing through the parallel plastic sheets (counterflow principle).

Additional to heat our Enthalpy Exchangers (C-ERV) could transfer humidity. All of this is only possible by using the special CORE Membrane, which prevents the formation of bacteria and mould.

CROSSFLOW

CORE is now offering its Crossflow ERV series, M-Series (M-ERV), in Europe. In Crossflow Exchangers, the supply air and exhaust air are conducted perpendicularly to each other, allowing the transfer of energy from one airstream to another without the crossover of contaminants.

CORE Counterflow ERVs

CORE Counterflow ERVs transfer both sensible (heat) and latent (humidity) energy using our patented polymer membrane. The polymer membrane allows the transfer of both heat and humidity, but prevents the crossover of contaminants, such as viruses, gases and VOCs. Our C-ERVs are also water washable and have no moving parts, making them an ideal solution for applications where low maintenance is required.

C Series - ERV

The C-ERV Series is CORE´s Counterflow Enthalpy Exchanger Series and features the following benefits:

  • 7 Enthalpy Exchanger construction forms in more than 400 variants
  • High sensible and latent recovery rates
  • no condensation forms inside the Exchanger, so there is less need for a condensate drain, less freezing and better overall efficiency levels
  • manufactured with a hygienic, mold and bacteria resistant, water washable polymer membrane (hygiene certified according to VDI 6022)

F Series - ERV

Our new F-Series Enthalpy Exchangers (F-ERVs) are not only characterised by their impressive efficiency rates but due to the unique formable membrane they are extremely lightweight compared to other Exchangers in this size.

C Series - HRV

CORE Crossflow ERVs

Crossflow Exchangers are the most popular type of Heat Exchanger in North America and feature a lower pressure drop than Counterflow Exchangers. CORE Crossflow Exchangers feature our patented polymer membrane that allows both sensible and latent energy recovery, are water washable and, with no moving parts, are very low maintenance, making them the ideal solution for projects ranging from multi-unit residential to schools and other commercial applications.

In Crossflow Exchangers, the supply air and exhaust air are conducted perpendicularly to each other, allowing the transfer of energy from one airstream to another without the crossover of contaminants.

Our Crossflow ERV series is called M-Series and is available in three different sizes.

How Crossflow ERVs Work

Inside every CORE Crossflow Exchanger is our patented polymer membrane. This polymer membrane transfers both heat and humidity from one air stream to another driven by thermal differences and the partial pressure difference of water vapour between the streams.

The membrane separates the two air streams and has a thin dense polymer barrier layer which allows the water vapour to absorb and permeate through, while blocking the transfer of gases, VOC’s and other contaminant compounds.

M-Series

The new M-Series Crossflow Exchangers are built with our latest membrane and exchanger technology. Produced on our new fully automated assembly line in Vancouver, the M-Series Exchangers offer higher latent effectiveness and lower pressure drop than previous generations of fixed plate Enthalpy Exchangers.
