Ryan Huizing P.Eng. Ph.D.

Director of Membrane Research and Development

Ryan has over 10 years of industrial research and development experience in the fabrication, testing, manufacturing, and commercialization of polymeric membranes. He holds a BASc in Engineering Chemistry from Queen’s University, a MASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and concurrent to his industrial work is completing a Doctorate in Materials Engineering at the University of British Columbia.

Ryan is a registered professional engineer, an inventor on five patent families, the author of several academic articles, and has presented on CORE’s research and development efforts at numerous conferences throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. His team at CORE develops robust, high performing, and selective membrane materials for water vapour transport applications.
